Description
Description
Mats Thureson is the bladesmith and owner behind Thorsson Blades, working out of Burlington, Vermont, where his craft spans two disciplines: hand-forged kitchen knives and precision tools for luthiers — the craftspeople who build and repair stringed instruments. That range shows in his approach: exacting, deliberate work built for people who use their tools daily and notice the difference.
This 7" Slicing Knife carries a feather Damascus pattern in 1084/15N20 steel, the layers sweeping across the blade like windblown grain. The handle pairs Paperstone — a dense, resin-set composite made from recycled paper, prized for being both eco-conscious and remarkably stable — with aluminum bronze spacers and a birch burl end cap, giving the grip warmth and detail without sacrificing durability.
Sourced directly from Thureson by our custom knife buying team at Blade Show 2026, this Slicing Knife arrives with a protective zippered pouch, ready for the cutting board.
