Six steak knives, each with a sanmai steel blade — a high-carbon core forge-welded inside a stainless jacket — and a handle lapped flat on granite and pinned by hand. Description

The blades are sanmai steel. Three layers, forge-welded together: a high-carbon 1084 core wrapped in a stainless jacket. The kind of construction that holds a serious edge and wears its history in the grain. Each blade was profiled from a brass template — because when you're making a matched set, every knife has to answer to the others.

The handles are Rocky Mountain elk antler. Naturally shed, sourced from the high country, and worked by hand from there. Each scale was ripped on a band saw, lapped flat on a granite block, epoxied onto the tang, and pinned. No two are identical. The grain, the color, the character — all of it comes from the animal and the mountain it lived on. That's not something you can spec out of a catalog.
