Basalt Basin 7pc Chef Knife Rock Block.

Form Meets Function.

Mixed Media "Rock Blocks" are the culmination of our commitment to "functional art." Our makers work with river stones, wood and steel to produce a stunning and practical vessel that keeps knives conveniently at hand while transforming the kitchen into an aesthetic space.

Basalt Basin

Basalt is igneous rock formed from the rapid cooling of lava. More than 90% of lava rock on earth is basalt. Usually dark gray or black in color due to a high content of augite. This striking knife block combines dark basalt rock with rainbow poplar and resin.
