Lounging with your lover in the park, this set makes it easy to say "Cheers" with Chablis and Chevre. The Mini Chopper is one of our most specialized knives and works wonderfully for charcuterie, with a deep belly to the blade, making cuts through the hardest rinds with ease. The Paring peels and cuts apples and blood oranges in no time flat. But no picnic can be enjoyed if the wine is spiked with the flotsam of a crumbled cork. Our Farfalli wine keys, made in Maniago, Italy, have a double hinge and 5-turn corkscrew to gently lifft even the driest corks without bending them.

The Paring Knife

The search for the perfect paring knife is over. Unlike many paring knives which are very "pointy" and dig into fruit and vegetables, the G-Fusion paring knife has a modified Drop Point Design. This results in a more forgiving knife when you are coreing an apple or removing the eyes from potatoes - and in this case, slicing cheese on a picnic cutting board.

"When presentation is a concern, the paring knife is your savior. Control, balance, and small features make detailing your final ingredients much easier." - Anthony Campolattaro, NWKW Sales and Marketing Guru

The Mini Chopper

Are these paring knives on steroids or chef knives with an inferiority complex? New West's Mini Chopper is a beautiful, little workhorse. It handles all the chopping and dicing that our bigger Chopper knife does, but with a easier grip for small hands. Also makes an excellent knife for your meat and cheese board for guests.

"It is great to sit out with a plate of gourmet, artisan cheese." - Corey Milligan, New West KnifeWorks owner

The Farfalli Wine Key

The Farfalli Prestige Wine Key is a tasteful yet classic-looking tool for the professional sommelier. It is equally at home in your private wine cellar or wet bar. Farfalli wine keys sport a double-hinge design, a crucial feature for attaining the proper leverage to lift the cork straight out without bending it. The spiral has six twists and hugs the cork to gently raise it up, unlike some other manufacturers' wine keys which have sharp edges and tend to rip out the center of a dry cork. On the back is a blade for cutting foil. The handle is durable, corrosion-resistant stainless steel and sports beautifully finished scales on both sides --- take your pick of cocobolo, olive wood, amaranth, dark horn, or light horn. The Prestige is perhaps the best value on the market for a wine key that will last for dozens of harvest seasons.
