More often than not, when people first see our knife magnets, they wonder where we found magnetic trees. In fact, what we do is embed very high strength rare earth magnets into solid wood strips. These magnets are so strong that it is nearly impossible to separate them from one another. And that strength is what allows them to securely hold onto your knives through the remaining thin layer of wood.
Available in 6" 5 and 7 knife versions, we each magnet comes with a strip of high strength double sided tape.
To install your chef knife magnet, simply clean the area where you are going to mount the knife magnet with alcchol, remove the backing material from the double sided tape, locate the magnet on your wall and press firmly into place. Within seconds, your chef knife magnet is affixed with no drilling, screwing or nailing needed. Don't hang chef knives on your magnet for 3 days to ensure that the tape has firmly adheared to the wall or cabinet. And, if you decide to move the chef knife magnet to another location, just peel up the tape.
