Job Title: Inventory and Customer Service Manager

Reports to: General Manager

Location: Jackson, Wyoming (soon to be Victor, ID)

To put it simply New West KnifeWorks is looking for a determined, detailed oriented, pitbull who loves numbers and organizational structure who can be quick on their feet and eager to learn.

 

General Summary:

The Inventory Manager will play a key role in New West KnifeWorks as the head of our shipping and receiving department as well as spearheading our Customer Service program.  The Inventory Manager will focus on the developing solutions to optimize inventory levels, increase sales, and manage cost and resources.

 

The Inventory Manager is responsible for setting New West KnifeWorks inventory  and omni-channel fulfilment strategy across a multi-node network. This person will work closely with the General Manager, accountants, and Production Manager in the planning, logistics, dealer services, retail operations, and inventory fulfillment management decisions.

Essential Job Functions (Phase 1):  

  • Set and manage seasonal inventory strategies across a multi-node network.

  • Measure and manage on hand inventory levels across the network to maximize service and minimize costs.

  • Fulfill all online shipments

  • Ecommerce, Retail, Wholesale, and Logistics to ensure holistic approach to the execution. (Manage and modify in season order management rules and enhancements.

  • Provide weekly/monthly/quarterly analysis regarding inventory levels and the impact to customer experience and overall profitability.

 

Essential Job Functions (Phase 2):

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree 

  • Work experience in an inventory, fulfillment, or demand/supply planning environment.

  • Executive level communication skills.

  • Ability to problem solve complex issues.

  • Highly proficient with MS Office, especially MS Excel.

  • Comfortable with team-based work structure; ability to demonstrate flexibility on the job.

  • Demonstrates initiative, is conscientious and provides complete follow-through on areas of responsibility.
